The Team

The Next Best Action (NBA) full stack team delivers value to our partners in Customer and Channel Analytics, Customer Experience, and Branch business lines by implementing sales campaigns that target retail customers through various channels. This is accomplished by having a deep understanding of customer data, as well as continuous modernization of the offer and campaign systems utilized in our channels by implementing new technologies such as the Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH).


The role:             

Reporting to the Director of Branch Sales Systems, the Senior Manager will be the technology owner responsible for the day to day direction, leadership and oversight of the NBA full stack team. They will manage the development and delivery of Pega CDH components that support of NBA campaigns targeting multiple channels, decreasing time to market and increasing velocity of campaigns. The role is also accountable to drive the enhancement of Pega CDH capabilities, platform version upgrades, and improving system stability while managing a team of employees to ensure success at both a project and individual level.

  • Manages a team of Developers, BA/BSAs, Data Architects and QA resources to deliver technology solutions that align to technology and business roadmaps
  • Champions a client focused culture within the team. Models behaviours that strengthen client relationships and partnerships
  • Working closely with the Director you will provide background information on all matters; recommend actions and their impact to assist them in making decisions. The incumbent collaborates closely with the Director in making joint decisions
  • Drives continuous improvement - ensures highly critical production systems run smoothly and client SLAs are consistently met
  • Keep up-to-date of with current and emerging best practices and technologies
  • Fosters a high-performance team environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team by promoting an inclusive work environment; communicating vison, values, business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Must have 7-10 years in progressive roles within Information and Technology with at least 4 years leading and managing teams
  • Experience delivering projects and providing application maintenance using Agile or Lean methodologies
  • Ability to work with multiple teams in planning and delivery of projects on schedule
  • You possess exceptional technical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge or Pega, Pega CDH, Azure Cloud or Cloud based technologies are a strong asset for the role
  • A passion to continuously steer teams towards high performance and taking pride in their work by delivering quality and value to our users 
  • Well-developed influencing skills and experience working with senior leadership across business and technology groups
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/relationship management/communication
  • Must be proactive, a self-starter and exhibit a high level of curiosity in exploring how we can use our technology stack to do things in a better way, improve our processes and strengthen our foundation
