The Team

 

Scotiabank International Business Systems, Cards team is responsible for the technology related to the issuance and processing of debit and credit cards as well as the digital payment channels that connect to the core banking system.

 

The team’s objective is to deliver competitive products while constantly dealing with the changing landscape of payment technology and the various regional markets in the Caribbean.

 

 

The Role

 

  • Manage and lead a team of approx. 6 direct reports with diverse skillsets.
  • The team will cover various digital payments channels like:
    • tPago
    • Agency Banking
    • Pagatodo
  • Oversee and Support the plastic card issuance systems including:
    • Instant Issuance
    • Smart In-House Issuance
    • Remote Perso platforms
  • Frequent interaction and negotiation with multiple vendors, including contract negotiations and input to technology and product development.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and drive strategic initiatives and solutions in the payments domain.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

 

  • Solid knowledge of plastic and digital payment ecosystems
  • Solid understanding of chip technology with the various flavors of the payment schemes
  • Experience with card and device certification processes
  • Ability to act as the link between technology subject matter experts as well as the Business and Product lines
  • Self-motivated
  • Team building and consensus building skills
