The role:

Senior Manager, Allocations role reports to Director, Project Finance.  Working in the Canadian Banking Technology Finance under Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO), this incumbent is responsible for developing unit cost economics rolling out process improvement initiatives to various Finance groups, bringing a significant level of Finance process and process re-engineer knowledge in order to identify, evaluate, and recommend improvements to optimize process and efficiency.


Is this role right for you?

  • Identify and evaluate process improvement opportunities in Finance areas and present recommendations and solution to senior management. 
  • Understand end to end technology cost and determine the allocations to the business
  • Analysis of business processes, develop hypothesis, conduct deep dive opportunity reviews, synthesize findings, drive critical diagnostics and future state design, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Leverage business process management techniques to establish robust processes and identify opportunities to increase quality, eliminate rework and improve efficiency
  • Develop strategies and recommendations, including business benefits and costs, implementation and training strategies/plan
  • Lead all aspects of diagnostic, design and implementation stages by working within cross functional teams
  • Facilitate working sessions and support target business groups to implement and operationalize initiatives and track initiative benefits.  Collaborating, coaching and supporting individuals within the finance areas during initiative roll-out.
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting role which includes experience in communications and managing teams or projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), presentation and business writing skills, as well as strong training, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and critical thinking ability to:
  • Quickly understand processes and identify opportunities
  • Frame and structure complex issues in a way that makes it easy to understand
  • Conduct targeted and insightful diagnostics (including developing creative ways to analyze difficult issues)
  • Make sound and efficient judgement and assumptions 
  • See pattern and connections between pieces of data and analysis and develop insights and implications
