The Role

The Senior Manager CIAM, will oversee all phases of business case development and execution of new enterprise CIAM platform, with responsibilities include technology implementation governance, business operations, stability, currency, contingency and vulnerability governance and reporting.


Is this role right for you? 


  • Responsible for business case development, requirement direction, solution design and project execution of CIAM solutions for the bank.
  • Provide governance and guidance to all customer authentication related initiatives in the banks globally.
  • Manages, develops, trains and leads the Customer Protection operational team to support the centralized customer authentication platform.
  • Collaborate effectively with Fraud, Information Security, Corp Security, Financial Crime and business channels teams to investigate on cyber incident related to customer authentication.
  • Analyzes data, prepares report of observations, creates and manages executive dashboard
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and managing CIAM application development and design teams
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience developing CIAM solutions in a Major Bank in North America
  • Expert knowledge on the regulations, industrial standards, protocols and best practices related to CIAM
  • Strong experience in Enterprise Product Management
  • Superior problem solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment is required.
  • Strong communication both verbally and written, and good interpersonal skills
  • Detailed understanding and strong past experience in various web and database technologies
