The Manager will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager and running the logistics behind the product and project management of Enterprise Cryptographic Services.

 

This is a new and recently restructured department comprising of 4 teams (Cryptographic Consulting Council, Projects and Products leveraging Managed Services, Development and Platform and Security Operations). The Manager will be the glue that holds our teams together and have the opportunity to implement a single pane view of project and financials and instituting a department delivery management community of practice.

 

In addition, the Manager will run select projects and provide oversight on key cross-functional initiatives.

 

This role will have consultant reports with additional discretionary functional reporting relationships assigned by the Senior Managers on their respective teams.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • On behalf of Senior Manager, administer contracts with vendors related to the technologies being used and a managed service operations portfolio focused on HSM, PKI and Key Management technologies.
  • Collate and review project estimates and build processes to facilitate intake with program management and peer development and operations peers.
  • Be the single point of contact creating a single view of resources, metrics, financials and ensuring the department is fiscally sound. This will require invoice submissions, tracking and ensuring forecasting accuracy.
  • Assist Senior Manager in developing budgets and business cases for both operational and forward-thinking services related projects, and directly or indirectly managing their delivery.
  • Working closely with all Senior Managers to facilitate development of roadmaps, strategies and tactical plans to improve the security posture of the bank.
  • May be called upon for related management duties: incident response and escalations related to cryptographic services; obsolescence planning; service ownership.

 

Functional Competencies

  • 4+ years of experience in managing teams preferably including vendor and managed services contracts.
  • Passion for project management, driving organizational process change and proven project lead experience delivering on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate for a variety of audiences including senior executives, regulators, software developers, architects, and stakeholders from a variety of business lines.
  • Working knowledge in Cryptographic or Security related solutions and services an asset.
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset.
