Purpose of Job

Global Identity Access Management is an enterprise-wide service providing consistent authentication mechanisms to applications, and ensures consistent enforcement of authentication policies.

 

The incumbent under general direction formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on the user needs, the applications supported and has a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements for the assigned Lines of Business. The incumbent is responsible for systems level software installation, and validate of file feeds for the LAM factory. The incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient development and support of the LAM Factory Application.

The incumbent devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.  Includes analysing business and user needs, documenting requirements and translating them into proper systems requirement specifications. 

 

The role of the Information GIAM Security Analyst Senior is viewed internally as a technology and business expert with leadership skills and the ability to influence others. They will maintain superior technology skills and knowledge of emerging GIAM technological trends across and disciplines.

The GIAM Security Analyst Senior is responsible for the onboarding of mission critical applications into the LAM factory, and for the business analyst responsibilities with the implementation of multiple projects as it relates to the Global roll out of Identity and Access Management functions. They are also responsible for working directly with stakeholders, application teams, project teams, testing teams and development teams during the full project cycle to successful implementation to steady state.

 

Key Accountabilities

1. Work with the Business Client, Application Owners, and Access Governance to interpret and negotiate business requirements for system development projects into the LAM Factory.  Independently manage strategic initiatives to ensure the security controls of mission critical applications and networks are in compliance with ISS and Bank standards. Direct the utilization of technology to meet the strategic and tactical goals of the various organizational units supported by the department and identify opportunities and processes that will enhance the overall robustness and integrity of the systems infrastructure. Ensure a clearly articulated security strategy is in place to address the security requirements of Applications, Operating Systems, Firewalls, and Networks, and ensure security is implemented as per documented standards.

2. Lead the analysis, design of business solutions; provide advice and guidance to project team. Collaborate with the project teams to ensure critical delivery dates are met for security reviews, server reviews, security patch rollouts and other time sensitive activities.

3. Review business design documents and test plans to ensure that they are executed and updated accurately. Continually keep abreast of the rapidly changing technology environment, as well as new Bank and Divisional strategies and policies. Stay informed of EDP strategies, security and risk management policies, and government regulatory requirements, including back and Front Office processes in order to provide superior direction and guidance to staff, and to serve the user community effectively. Ensure communication with the remote sites globally is consistently maintained.

4. Validate and document operational changes resulting from system projects/changes with the Business Client.

5. Participate in defining the business implementation approach working with the Business Client, Application owner and Access Governance teams.

6. Define the technical implementation of the LAM Factory approach with the Project Team and QAT lead.

7. Liaise with other areas of IT&S and IS&C team to complete our deliverables for Internal Audits, External Audits, Annual Sarbanes-Oxley certification and other regulatory reviews.

8. Continually improve processes which include: Overseeing the development and implementation of system and process enhancements.  Managing and maintaining software and support tools.  Creating and documenting new programs and internal procedures.

 

Functional Competencies

  • The incumbent must have a complete understanding of the relationship between complex GIAM application processes, and downstream applications, environmental resources, and code layering across multiple platforms.  This is a seasoned and specialized knowledge is acquired through hands-on experience with the business and technical dimensions of multifaceted projects within GIAM.
  • The incumbent must have thorough working knowledge of the Sailpoint IIQ application including access request, certification process, and the application onboarding process.
  • The incumbent must have a working knowledge of all aspects of Information Technology and industry practices as it relates to Identity and Access Management
  • The incumbent must have an expert understand of code library management and commands. 
  • The incumbent must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written/verbal).
  • The incumbent a solid understanding of change process, and related systems/technology to deliver code to QAT servers, controllers, and PC's with the ability to assess the risk and impact of the changes.
  • The incumbent must have a complete understanding of the multiple QAT environments and their relationship to code delivery and business functions. 
  • The incumbent must be results focused. Strategic influencing and thinking.
  • The incumbent must be a results focused with self-awareness and personal development.
  • The incumbent must be highly creative in identifying and researching technical solutions to resolve business problems.
  • The incumbent must be able to take abstract concepts and apply them to formulate solutions and often work in variable, precedent setting situations requiring the ability to quickly identify and resolve unique problems.
  • The incumbent must have detailed knowledge of all applications supported by the department in order to provide user support.
  • The incumbent must keep current with rapidly changing technological trends and work with the GIAM team to provide recommendations on the future technological directions and architecture of the Divisions.
  • The incumbent must have a broad knowledge of the Banks products, services, market trends, computer services, planning and control tools and organizational structure.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Expert working knowledge of Sailpoint IIQ application including access, certification, and application onboarding.
  • Expertise in IT key controls and risk assessment concepts
  • Typically has four to six years of experience
  • University degree or college diploma in a related field is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s application and infrastructure environment
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills
  • Active Directory/LDAP/I D Provisioning/Single Sign On
  • Spanish is an asset.

 

Job is Standard Hours but may vary depending on the  Global time zones.

Overtime may be needed from time to time to meet critical deadlines and/or implementation dates.

Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
