The Team

The Gateway & Network Security Services within Technical Security Services is responsible for the security of data in flight, through the deployment and management of Intrusion Prevention Systems, Email and Web Security Services

 

The role:

Deploy, manage and maintain Gateway & Network Security services globally.  Research new security technologies, work with other Scotiabank teams to deploy and maintain these technologies.  Troubleshoot and resolve issues with technical security controls, and ensure that controls are highly available

  • You have a passion for security operations, researching, implementing and maintaining effective security controls
  • You have an interest in working with leading security technology vendors, implementing state of the art solutions in a complex, global network
  • You are available to manage 24x7 systems support and problem resolution

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You have two or more years of experience in Information Security or Networks
  • You have familiarity and experience with several security technologies including, but not limited to, URL Filtering, Email Gateway Security, Data Loss Prevention and Intrusion Prevention Systems
  • You have a sound understanding of networking concepts such as analyzing packet captures, DNS and TCP/IP in general
