We are looking for someone to lead the data architecture aspects of an enterprise wide NBA platform. This role requires proven data design skills in Cloud and Big Data environments, driving out innovation, flexibility, collaboration, and effective teamwork.

Maintaining a good understanding of the Organization’s business strategies, business policies, risk management and IT processes is the key. This requires working with enterprise data management office, and various governance and technology teams to ensure that the appropriate data is captured through various sources and brought for consideration in an NBA offer system that is utilized by all bank channels.




We are looking for someone who will work closely with IT teams & business stakeholders to define data requirements that meet business needs, balancing enterprise directives to deliver optimal solutions. Ensuring the successful delivery of the NBA program requires the following:


  • Superior presentation skills, and a demonstrated ability to build consensus between business and technology teams
  • Develop enterprise data models (Logical Data Models)
  • Drives consensus across domains to achieve enterprise consistency and best practices
  • For assigned deliverables, defines standards that adhere with enterprise data architecture models
  • Analyzes data sources and work with business partners to create data mappings and diagram

  • Ensures organizational alignment to the enterprise domain taxonomy and data model
  • Assists in the selection of data architecture tools and technology decisions
  • Assists in cross-domain collaboration on data architecture initiatives across the organization
  • Works in an Agile environment to develop Data Office capabilities




You Have:


  • Deep experience with data: modeling, analysis, metadata and data consumption
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, balancing customer needs with and a deep understanding of business objectives
  • Expert understanding of ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage is required
  • Hands-on experience with big data ecosystem tools such as Hive, Pig, Sqoop and Spark; and experience with NoSQL databases would be an asset
  • Skilled with DB2 database environments, Hadoop, MS SQL
  • Subject area experience with Financial Industry products and services preferred: Retail Banking/Lending, Commercial Banking/Lending, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management
  • Subject area experience with Sales and Marketing related data would be an asset
  • Tools skills/experience: Data modeling or architecture software (e.g. ERWin), BI visualization software (e.g. Qlikview, Tableau), Data catalog software (e.g. IBM Information Governance
  • Catalog), and Industry Data Models (e.g. Financial Services Data Model – FSDM) , Full-text Search (e.g. Elasticsearch)
  • Experience in data project implementation lifecycles
  • Ability to understand and suggest solutions to data design on an enterprise level
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Sharepoint
