Transaction Processing Services team is an agile team with an intense focus on end user experience, rapid iteration and improvement and quality software delivery on a daily basis.  As a Navigator/Technical Lab lead, you will help launch and suppor the agile labs day to day activities, help define project success and lead workshops and sessions to distill product vision.  You'll work closely with product owners and technology teams to remove impediments and communicate/manage expectations to various stakeholders across the bank.  This position is the bridge between technology and the buisness side of the bank as an advocate, influencer and enabler to ensure successful delivery.


Key Accountabilities: 


  • Work with peers and customers to support agile lab designs and ensure deliverables are according to Scotiabank's internal policies, standards and templates based on business, project and systems specs.
  • Faciliate, produce and maintain architectural and design documentation.
  • Require to manage critical, high impact agile lab projects from end to end.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain TDS roadmap
  • Extensive buisness and technical knowledge on digital channels processing, mainframe processing and downstream posting engine.
  • Knowledge on electronic banking and access control Debit processing.
  • Provides expert technical advice and counsel in the design and maintenance of major, complex software systems.
  • Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/ processes.
  • Provides regular coaching and guidance to less experienced analysts.
  • Provides leadership to significant technical/business projects.
  • Document project flows, system flows and ensure all stories are aligned to project priorities




  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and is capable of multi-tasking and managing concurrent tasks and initiatives.                                                        
  • Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused, attentive to details, and a team player.                                                                                                   3. Strong interpersonal skills and can build and foster relationships with team members and peers.
  • Experience in the financial industry with some host development experience.
  • Innovative approaches to developing process improvements and solutions; ability to convey and promote these ideas.
  • Working experience with systems development methodologies and software development technologies, concepts and lifecycle.
  • Worked in Agile lab or used Agile framework.
  • Have a wide base of experience in development, operations and business.
  • Expert using Visio and/or similar product




  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent
