As a part of Scotiabank International Business Systems Support team, Business Analyst Senior will be responsible for in-depth investigation of Production incidents raised by the sites and performance for parameter maintenance for the supported Line of Business. In this role, you will be supporting end users and product business lines in Caribbean and LATAM countries for Incident Management, Production problem log management, Parameter Changes and other change requests

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

 

We are looking for an experienced business analyst (application support) to

  • Assist the Senior Manager in investigating/resolving highly complex production issues to meet the needs of the client groups or supported Line of Business, by applying their financial and technological knowledge to application/system solutions.  This includes conducting thorough investigation and analysis, and liaising with the clients, development support team and Business Line
  • Participate in the daily Stand-up meetings with perspective Value Streams to assist in prioritizing production issues
  • Participate in the walk-through meetings and reviewing production fix/test results
  • Provide production support to all global units, including existing product and deal with structuring, ad hoc queries. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that management is kept informed and that problems are escalated appropriately

 

 

ARE YOU THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE ROLE?

 

Business Analyst Senior will

 

  • have experience in investigating and resolving production issues/requests quickly
  • be a creative, self-starting, results-oriented, customer-focused, and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills in order to apply this knowledge to assist in the resolution of complex production issues
  • possess very good interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively work with clients, value streams, development support teams and their own team members (Bilingual – English & Spanish fluency is a big plus)
  • have experience of working in Agile Environment
  • be analytical with proven experience of using a systematic approach to problem-solving, together with accuracy and thoroughness to ensure that work is completed correctly and it is of high quality
  • have good understanding of Banking technology platforms including database systems, batch and real-time processing
  • possess strong experience on MS Office, JIRA and Service Now; (Preferably any knowledge of the Banking Products and Operations)
  • have ability to work independently with minimal direction and self-motivated
  • have ability to work under tight deadlines and constantly changing priorities
  • be open to work overtime on occasion to meet deadlines and to implement systems with minimal impact to the end users
  • be available to provide on-call support during week-ends and on Canadian public holidays, as required
