Purpose

 

We are seeking a Business Analyst with QA Responsibilities to join our Payments Technology team. This hybrid role combines core business analysis functions with hands-on functional and manual testing responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and QA specialists to ensure high-quality delivery of payment solutions in an Agile environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

Business Analysis Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements, ensuring all decisions and changes are properly captured.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear and concise functional requirements and user stories.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews for payment system enhancements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payments-related projects and operational improvements.
  • Support Scrum Master and Project Manager in planning, scoping, and impact analysis for initiatives.

 

Quality Assurance Responsibilities (Functional/Manual)

  • Create, review, and execute functional test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
  • Perform manual testing for new features, enhancements, and regression cycles.
  • Collaborate with the development team to validate acceptance criteria and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; work with technical teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist in planning and prioritizing testing activities across sprints.
  • Support release readiness by validating functionality in pre-production environments.

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Strong expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and system analysis.
  • Experience in functional/manual testing within Agile projects.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and MS Office tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of payment systems and standards (SWIFT, ISO 20022) is an asset.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments.
  • Banking/Financial industry experience is a plus.
