Purpose


Responsible for leading and overseeing Planning and Analytics management in the Caribbean, ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations and internal policies/procedures. The role serves as the primary steward of Retail performance measurement, including Client Dynamics KPIs, financial planning/forecasting, portfolio performance analytics, and executive insights. Lead and oversee the implementation of business performance measurements in support of key stakeholders and executives across the bank. The incumbent is responsible for the effective data management of the area towards the timely delivery of Business performance reports. Ensures that portfolio performance aligns with bank’s objectives, supports decision making through comprehensive reporting, and drives continuous improvement to enhance financial outcomes and operational efficiency.

Accountabilities:


•    Monitor and control local financial results, forecast and plan.


•    Monitor and control local client dynamics KPIs


•    Align and manage performance measurement frameworks and tools to track local strategy execution by segment, product, and channel.


•    Develop forecasts to better understand the impact of strategy execution on Retail client dynamics / client profitability and Retail performance.


•    Support annual planning process (Client dynamics / Client profitability), including Scorecards, partnering with local teams and in alignment with regional direction


•    Align to Client Dynamics segmentation governance


•    Support operating budget planning and day-to-day management for Retail division (expense control)


•    Generate executive insights to showcase the performance and drivers of financial and non-financial key performance indicators in local market


•    Support strategic business analysis leveraging client financial and non-financial data identifying growth or operational efficiency opportunities in local market


•    Analyze business trends and drivers, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and growth in local market


•    Strategic and operational support for Retail Head, including Retail Business Reviews, Deep Dive analyses, performance scorecards, country visit packs and executive readouts.


•    Support operating budget planning and day-to-day management for the Retail division, including expense control.


•    Generate executive insights to showcase performance and key drivers of financial and non-financial KPIs across the Caribbean.


•    Partner with Caribbean Retail leadership to prepare high-quality monthly/quarterly business reviews, ensuring consistency and alignment across markets.


•    Provide strategic and operational support for the Caribbean Retail Head, including leadership presentations, townhalls, key management forums, and speaking engagements.


•    Align to Client Dynamics segmentation governance and ensure correct application in reporting and planning.


•    Establish and maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and governance over reporting processes and key metrics.


•    Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


•    Demonstrate strong influencing and communication skills to engage stakeholders across levels using insights grounded in rigorous analysis.


•    Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. 


•    Direct activities consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement and limits and communicate these expectations throughout the team.


•    Support internal controls and audit readiness (e.g., SOX and relevant risk management frameworks where applicable).

 


Education / Experience 


•    Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred in Analytics/Business/Finance/Economics. 


•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial sector.


•    Demonstrated strategic influencing ability, and a high degree of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.


•    Strong financial and business acumen with a result-oriented and problem-solving mindset.


•    Excellent communication and presentation skills.


•    Experience in performance management, financial planning and forecasting is an asset.


•    Experience in applying agile principles and practices.


•    Bilingual, required.
