Purpose
Supports the Senior Product Manager in the day-to-day operational management of merchant acquiring products and solutions. Responsible for ensuring that internal processes, vendor relationships, product documentation, and operational controls are effectively maintained and up to date. Provides key support in coordinating contract management, product changes, onboarding processes, and reporting activities, contributing to the seamless execution of business and compliance requirements.
Accountabilities
• Operational Support & Process Maintenance
➢ Maintain and update internal documentation for product processes, policies, procedures, and controls.
➢ Monitor product performance dashboards and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure all service standards, SLAs, and KPIs are met.
➢ Support the execution and tracking of merchant onboarding processes and operational tasks to ensure timely and compliant activations.
• Vendor & Contract Management
➢ Support vendor management activities, including onboarding, due diligence, performance monitoring, and relationship maintenance.
➢ Assist with contract documentation, renewals, and compliance tracking for all product-related vendors and service providers.
➢ Ensure vendor data and documentation are current and meet regulatory and internal policy standards.
• Product Maintenance & Change Management
➢ Coordinate and implement approved product changes, updates, and enhancements across systems, documentation, and training materials.
➢ Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and post-implementation reviews to validate successful changes and identify areas for further improvement.
➢ Ensure all product assets, pricing, and merchant materials are up to date and aligned with latest product standards.
• Relationship Management
➢ Identify and resolve bottlenecks or pain points in the merchant lifecycle, driving initiatives to improve experience and retention.
➢ Actively seek feedback from merchants and sales teams to inform product enhancements and process improvements.
• Training and Stakeholder Engagement
➢ Develop and deliver training programs for sales, customer support, and operational staff on product features, processes and compliance requirements.
➢ Crate and maintain product guides, FAQs, and reference materials for internal and external audiences.
➢ Facilitate knowledge sharing and foster collaboration across teams to ensure alignment and operational readiness.
• Business Ownership
➢ Act as the “voice of product” internally, advocating for product needs and championing business growth initiatives.
➢ Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, nd forecasting of acquiring products.
➢ Evaluate market trends, competitor offerings, and technology advancements to ensure the
product suite remains competitive and relevant.
• Internal Collaboration & Support
➢ Provide day-to-day operational support to the product, sales, risk, and customer service teams as needed.
➢ Assist with the coordination of internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and process documentation updates.
➢ Support training and knowledge transfer efforts within the team and to business partners, maintaining updated guides and operational manuals.
Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)
• University degree in engineering, economics, business or related fields. Certifications in payments/fintechs is a plus.
• 2+ years of practical experience in product management, preferably in payments, fintech or digital banking.
• Proven track record managing integrated/API based solutions.
• Specific bank and/or payment industry demonstrable experience
• Merchant acquiring experience is an asset
• Demonstrable experience in sales support, pipeline management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Good written & oral communication skills are required to deliver strong business focused plans, presentations, and the negotiation of deals.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
• Results oriented and innovative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to leverage capabilities to increase revenues, decrease costs and mitigate risks.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish; written and spoken) is a plus
