Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the different units in the Caribbean region by ensuring that individual and specific objectives, plans, and initiatives are managed in accordance with the organization's strategy, and ensures compliance with project methodology, regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Apply and execute projects in accordance with the established project methodology.

• Assist in the elaboration of the projects Business Cases and the documentation required by the established methodology.

• Plan, coordinate, control and monitor the execution of the different operational and/or administrative tasks of the approved projects until completion, ensuring compliance with delivery dates, quality of results and commitments.

• Anticipate, identify, and evaluate possible risks that may affect the development of the project, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure that the established objectives are met.

• Prepare periodic reports to inform on the progress and results being achieved.

• Ensure the allocation of resources to each project (budget, equipment, human resources, etc.),maximizing their use.

• Obtain the corresponding approvals for the deployment of the implementation.

• Prepare the final report for each project.

• Lead and drive a customer-centric culture for your entire team to deepen client relationships and leverage the Bank's extensive relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Maintain a broad network of contacts within the customer, service user and IB partner groups and regularly request these contacts for suggestions and ideas.

• Recommend viable improvement opportunities for further consideration / action.

• Understands the Bank's risk culture and how risk appetite should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Creates an environment where its team conducts effective and efficient operations in their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, compliance and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls in order to meet obligations to reduce operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities established under the Operational Risk Management Framework, the Regulatory Non-Compliance Risk Management Framework, the International Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Manual, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education / Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.

• Specialization in Project Management is a plus.

• 1-3 years of experience in project management.

• Proficient in Office Suite, including MS Project.

• Advanced problem solving, financial and analytical skills to deal with complex operational problems, across functions.

• Able to manage / oversee several problems simultaneously using defined procedures and methodologies.

• Sense of urgency, curiosity, excellent interpersonal relationship management with peers and superiors.

• Able to analyze and work with complex statistical and financial information or data.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Fluent in English.
