Assistant Manager - Reconciliation (L6)

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm / Saturdays 4 hours upon request
Purpose
This role is responsible for leading and supporting operational excellence, reconciliation processes, and project initiatives while fostering a customer-focused culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk standards.
Accountabilities
- Operational Management: Oversee daily account operations and reconciliation activities, ensuring accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members; balance workloads and maintain high performance within an inclusive environment.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Project & Process Improvement: Support the execution and implementation of new products, technology solutions, and internal projects; measure success through metrics and recommend scalable improvements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure effective business controls to mitigate operational, regulatory, AML/ATF, and conduct risks, aligned with the Bank’s risk appetite and culture.
- Audit & Reporting: Assist with audit requests, regulatory reporting, and escalate irregularities as required.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with business partners across departments to enhance efficiency and client experience.
- Backup Support: Act as a backup for key roles during absences or critical periods such as month-end.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of reconciliation and accounting background.
- Ability to understand business language and translate it into technical terminology; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
