The Team
The Global Identity & Access Management (GIAM) organization is responsible for the execution of established security controls pertaining to identity and access.  This includes the centralized provisioning of user identities, the user accounts linked to those identities, management of privileged access, as well as the selection and integration of identity management tools.

 

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Manager will lead a team of Security Analysts who perform access provisioning, audit reporting, and risk remediation related to Identity Management across Scotiabank’s global operations.

In addition, the Manager, Identity Lifecycle Management:

Contributes to the overall success of Global Identity and Access Management (GIAM) by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Manages GIAM support to Scotiabank business lines of IAM Provisioning across Active Directory, Email, File Access Provisioning and AD management.

 

Where will you work?

  • You will initially work from home, when it is appropriate, we shall return to a hybrid (once per week) in-office routine, in our Scarborough location
  • You will be available for occasional after-hours escalation support

Is this role right for you?

In detail, the Manager, Identity Lifecycle Management will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Centralize multiple intake channels for GIAM, including consultation on process / policy; project scoping and estimation; and support ticket escalation
  • Prioritize and assign requests to GIAM teams, based on the required expertise
  • Ensure logical access control is effectively implemented across the Enterprise
  • Address logical access and risks commensurate with the Bank’s risk appetite 
  • Provide support for logical access such as AD, LDAP, Workstation Local Admin, vFilers (NTFS Permissions), Privileged Access, Rush terminations (access removal), toxic access combinations (i.e., SOD) etc.  for applications and platforms
  • Support the business to understand their responsibilities with respect to logical access controls
  • Managing and/or conducting detailed, risk-based evaluations of the design and operating effectiveness of Information Technology (IT) controls
  • Pursuing security and control process improvements
  • Participate in cyclical audits and help in gathering evidence for Audit both internal and external
  • Prioritize, classify, track and report on request escalations
  • Provide after-hours availability for any urgent issues / incidents / escalations
  • Coordinate with 2nd and 3rd level support when applicable and provide resolution recommendations to management
  • Escalate all high priority issues affecting availability, customer impact and user impact to the Director
  • Identify any reoccurring issues that affect the user experience, the volume of requests received or the ability of GIAM to deliver on SLAs and participate in problem solving sessions with related teams as required
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Provide ticket/request evidence to Audit on a per-request basis where needed

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

Must Haves:

  • A minimum of 1 year of People management\leadership experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting in Identity Management field; ability to understand complex systems/processes, their interactions, and potential points of failure
  • SailPoint IIQ experience
  • The ability to work on complex projects independently
  • Experience with technical audit experience
  • Experience with Logical Access Control and Provisioning tools for Identity Access Management
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Windows OS, Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, PowerShell scripting
  • Experience in provisioning and managing user access
  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of identity life cycle
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of information security policies and standards
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Able to work within cross functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills, specifically data analysis
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple intake channels efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
     

Nice to Haves:

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Technical designations such as: MCSE\MCSA, CISM, CISSP
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow
  • Centrify PAM
