The Team

The Operations and Corporate Services ‘OCS’ Technology team plays a critical role in enabling Global Engineering for Operations and Functions by supporting many critical applications including Physical Cash Vault Management (VMS), Branch & Back Office Scanning Ecosystem (IDM, eForms), PAL Western Union and others

 

The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated leader to deliver value for OCS in a high-impact role. This role is responsible for design and delivery of OCS Technology portfolio streams and ensuring global foundation for scalability and reusability.  The role will oversee technology resources in both Colombia and Canada, coordinate with technology teams and Global Product builds (VMS, AskOps), while working closely with the project and business teams to ensure partner and stakeholder alignment and deliver the solutions on time.  Also responsible for maintenance and support of technology after the implementation date. The candidate must be comfortable working in complex, enterprise environment and be well versed in leadership and technology.

  • Responsible for owning the Global Operations Technology OCS strategy and roadmap
  • Take a strategic focus aligned to business priorities and bring innovative thinking to strategic problems
  • Lead the implementation of transformative technology initiatives to enable Global Operations Technology’s success through increased efficiency, reduced cost, faster time to market
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage platform capabilities effectively, deliver future proof technology solutions and take a leading role in initiatives to drive innovation and digital transformation throughout the Bank.
  • Manage and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects/programs (Physical Cash Vault Management, Scanning, eForms, AskOps) involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank, as well as external vendors when required
  • Provide finance with the data to support and maintenance budgets and business cases.
  • Lead the solution of risks and issues that have a broad impact on projects, systems, and teams (e.g. software currency, vulnerabilities)
  • Owns production issue analysis and performs root cause analysis for production issues and implementation issues.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

 

What You Will Bring to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • You have 7-10 years of work-related experience within the Financial Services Industry.
  • You have experience in consumer banking products and Business process management products
  • You have 3+ years experience in delivery of large scale programs and global products
  • Strong and proven analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge business solutioning, documentation and process mapping
  • Strong technical solution management experience and skills
  • Ability to work autonomously under tight timelines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where processes and procedures are consistently refined
  • Strong capability to work with senior business leaders
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills in both Spanish and English
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
