Title:  Trader Voice Operations Specialist

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:



  • You are confident in supporting the development and implementation of a new operating model to address voice preservation within Global operating centers; and in particular Capital Markets, Sales and Trading environments.
  • You’re a big picture thinker who has the ability to see how all the pieces fit together in support BNS global solutions.
  • You will support the direction of the team and meet achieve Data and Voice technologies objectives.
  • You can learn & apply how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • You are comfortable in collaborating with the business, along with the technical and operational groups across the Bank to ensure alignment of technical solutions to the business strategy, use and deployment of best practices in business support solutions, and the alignment and application of Bank operational and security standards.
  • You can manage the workflow associated with producing voice recordings and evidence for standard and complex global requests
  • You embrace working with global teams to standardize and consolidate voice recording technology, preservation and extraction processes.
  • You are keen on maintaining a repository on global health checks and daily compliance checks to ensure integrity of data.
  • You are willing to participate in establishing strategic IT solutions that are required to maintain and enhance our voice preservation ecosystems.
  • You are eager to participate and engage Bank executives on voice related agendas. This includes developing presentations and assisting with communications to Bank regulators and compliance groups.
  • Your primary focus is supporting a global operating model, ensuring integrity of data and responding effectively while engaging with HR, eDiscovery, Legal on managing discovery requests for IT.  As part of the directive is to ensure system availability and integrity of data.
  • You look forward on delivering and supporting reliable technologies in support of the Banks legal hold and preservation processes and partners.
  • Respond to Business requirements to contribute to appropriate solution
  • Work with Regulatory Business Initiatives group, Internal Controls Group, SI&D Service Management leads and Vendors to define the scope, intake and building of integrations with various communication platforms, support Scenario development and automation of testing
  • Assure adherence to BNS technical and security standards and best practices
  • Work with vendors and internal partners to get appropriate reviews and approvals for the solutions being developed
  • Assist in developing test strategies and plans related to the subject solutions
  • Provide support for project deployment and operational teams in implementing new solutions and feature
  • Assist Day 2 and operational Support team with escalations


Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd love to work with you, if you have:



  • Knowledge of compliance policies relative to the trading businesses
  • Knowledge of trading practices and workflows relative to the trading businesses
  • Development and assistance in Deployment and Testing of Trader Voice and Compliance Voice recording systems, assurance of capture completeness
  • Daily use of REST API functionality, networking, network and data security, operating systems and scripting skills
  • Understanding of Artificial intelligence and Natural language processing is a plus
  • Vendor Relationship, Internal business and technology stakeholders
  • You have at least 8+ years of hands-on working experience in a people management position within Information Technology.
  • You have strong communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English.  The same in Spanish is an asset.
  • You have at least 6+ years of progressive technical hands-on working experience in Data and Voice at an enterprise scale with industry recognized tools
  • You have at least 5+ years experience in Trader Voice technologies and applications. (Turrets like IPC Unigy or CX Unigy, BT IPTrade, Cloud9, etc.…); Voice Recording software (Verint, NICE, Redbox, etc.); Cisco IP Communicator; ArkadinYou possess superior problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • You have good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • You have a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data/Voice technologies or in a related field or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification(s) and/or other similar industry best practices (COBIT/LEAN, etc…) is an asset.
