In this role, you will contribute to the overall success of the US HR function by managing programs, relationships and initiatives that ensure US HR activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

 

  • Acting as HR’s delegate 1B, partnering with the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense to improve governance:
    • Compliance: Maintain Library of 600+ Federal, State and Local regulations and conduct quarterly Compliance Risk & Controls Assessments in the eRCM system, proactively proposing controls to mitigate residual risk
    • Risk: Report KRIs and emerging risks to ORO and NFRC on a monthly basis, manage the TPRM/NIRA process for HR initiatives, provide metrics and update list of Material Risk Takers for quarterly Local Conduct Committee, and conduct yearly HR Risk Control Strength Assessment (RCSA)
    • Audit: Coordinate and deliver materials for audit, close any issued Management Action Plans and respond to ad-hoc requests for information
    • Other: Partner with AML to monitor mandatory employee training, quickly turn around reporting for external regulators, and provide semi-monthly headcount numbers to finance
  • Partnering with HR Reporting & Analytics in Global HR Specialized Services to respond to reporting requests from Risk, Compliance, Audit, and external regulators
  • Assisting in the establishing, strengthening and development of US HR policies, processes and departmental work flow with a deep understanding of HR industry best practices and extensive knowledge of governance frameworks, and HR regulations in the U.S.
  • Ensuring accuracy of documents on Ask HR, overseeing the AskHR review cycle, as well as proactively identifying any necessary off-cycle document updates
  • Partnering with Legal and Global HR to update US HR employment policies and practices, including but not limited to, US Employee Handbook and other relevant US HR policies
  • Supporting the creation of executive-level dashboards, pulling relevant data and conducting detailed analysis to extract insights
  • Understanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursuing effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
  • Championing a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment

 

Do you have skills you need to succeed? We'd love to work with you, if you have:

  • A U.S. and global perspective as it relates to HR and financial services
  • Consideration and understanding of all key stakeholders group (front office/ wholesale banking client experience preferred)
  • An undergraduate degree 
  • HR certifications and/or graduate degree (preferred)
  • Financial services industry experience and HR generalist experience preferred
  • Strong communication, technical and analytical skills required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • A strong ability to translate metrics and operational or regulatory items into strategic, executive ready presentation materials
