Title:  Senior Manager, U.S. Finance Transformation, Transfer Pricing

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

  • Championing a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Working closely with key internal stakeholders in assessing and incorporating changes needed driven by business, market and industry regulatory remediation efforts
  • Defining and escalating key risks and assist in addressing mitigation efforts.  Ensure key accountable parties address and report key metrics
  • Defining key milestones and deliverables across Finance Transformation for all US entities (CUSO)
  • Supporting the remediation of in Finance strategy transforming efforts Support for Regulatory Remediation to support the independent monitor, MoU and 4m agreement
  • Supporting Transformation regulatory remediation to remediate findings from regulators which require enhanced processes and procedures
  • Working alongside Finance Management and key internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reporting Target Operating Model
  • Understanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursuing effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Championing a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment
  • A general understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for financial institutions

 


Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience with US regulators, OSFI, Canada Prudential Regulator
  • A broad understanding of regulatory reporting
  • Strong accounting and internal control
  • Strong leadership skills with proven record of implementing change
  • 15+ years of Banking experience with Capital Markets product knowledge
  • An accounting/Finance degree
  • Regulatory Remediation experience interacting with regulators and senior management
  • Understanding of Finance and associated controls in capital markets
  • Regulatory Reporting/Financial Reporting or audit experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities
