Purpose
Reporting to the Director, while operating in a team based environment, the Senior Manager is responsible for the maintenance and sound asset growth of a global portfolio of securitizations. The Senior Manager adds value to the overall management of the Bank’s loan portfolios through the timely and accurate adjudication of credits within established underwriting guidelines and policies.
The Senior Manager will be dealing with senior management and banking counterparts in the Bank’s offices globally and will be exposed to significant and varied deal flow.

What You’ll Do
- Liaise and maintain strong working relationship with Global Securitizations personnel in Toronto and New York involved in securitizations structuring.
- Review pertinent external rating agency criteria and perform in depth assessment of program structure and performance of incoming credit applications.
- Ensure all proposed credit exposures are in compliance with the established guidelines and limits, and provide rationale for exceptions.
- Provide recommendations to senior executives and participate in discussions in Senior Credit Committees.
- Prepare authorizations to communicate the terms and conditions of transactions.
- Review documentation governing credit facilities
- Conduct industry analysis and lending guideline policy reviews for submission to senior management, including preparation of board-level reports
- Develop a high degree of knowledge/expertise of securitizations structuring by various asset classes.
- Maintain knowledge of program sponsors and industries, by continuous monitoring of available financial and industry information and discussions with Global Securitizations officers.
- Provide accurate data in a timely manner as requested by the various Bank offices/departments to satisfy regulatory and quarterly/monthly reporting requirements.
- Work on projects and special reviews as assigned by senior management.
What You’ll Bring
- While MBA, CMA, CFA or CA Designation is preferred, equivalent industry/credit analysis experience will be considered.
- Prior Credit Risk or Corporate Banking experience with a preference for experience in securitizations/structured credit.
- Knowledge of credit risk policies, products, processes preferred.
- Understanding of derivative products, deal structuring, due diligence & documentation, legal & accounting principles.
- Ability to make decisions and appropriate recommendations to senior management and effectively support such recommendations.
- Customer centric focus.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail. Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Curiosity, ability to learn, and to apply newly acquired knowledge to daily tasks.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple (often shifting) priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good negotiation and problem-resolution skills to reach agreements with business line partners.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills.
