In this role as an Senior Manager, Regulatory Projects US Program Management Organization you will be responsible for the management of several regulatory project workstreams within a Program or Project Portfolio.
The Senior Manager effectively partners w/the business owners and leadership to execute against action plans in according to scope, schedule and budget, and facilitates change control process when any of the aforementioned are compromised.

 

Is this role right for you? You will be responsbile for:

 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Work w/ stakeholders and project teams to translate activities, sequences and predecessors into detailed project plans that Identify/track cross stream dependencies
  • Assist project teams in capacity and resourcing planning to ensure planned deliverables and timelines are accurate and reasonable
  • Partner with Technology teams to integrate timelines and deliverables into work stream plans
  • Work with business owners, and project teams on the process of identifying and managing Risks / Issues and facilitating Change Control process
  • Lead project teams in routines and cadences related plan updates and status reporting
  • Support business owners in preparing a business case for budget approval and support the process submitting the request and managing budget spend
  • Hold project teams accountable for delivery (milestones, artifacts, sign-off, etc.)
  • Manage quality control /assurance testing process, issue reporting /resolution and sign-off /approval of project milestones, deliverables and artifacts.
  • Develop clear and concise documentation and presentations that speak to the level of the consumer / audience
  • Establish clear and achievable objectives, balance competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost, and adapt specifications, plans and approaches to the different concerns and expectations of the various stakeholders
  • Align with stakeholders and project teams to ensure the project deliverables meet the objectives for which it was undertaken through the practical application of project management knowledge areas and tools through all phases of the project
  • Execute projects that support efficient and effective delivery while maintaining adherence to internal project management standards
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AMLIATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.


Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd love you work with you if you have:

  • At least five years of relevant experience in management consulting and/or financial services and/or internal consulting functions within a complex financial institution, with a demonstrated history of executing the role's key accountabilities.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Six Sigma certification, a plus.
  • Interpersonal leadership and influencing skills -ability to manage projects and to interact with colleagues and Leadership to achieve goals.  The role may or may not directly manage people but will need a strong ability to prioritize issues and manage team dynamics.   
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization.  Create status reports and executive level decks and present to senior stakeholders.
  • An outstanding ability to define and deconstruct problems, structure and build quantitative and qualitative analytical problem-solving approaches, apply strong business judgment to surface implications and practical high impact options, and create concise communication materials and present findings to senior management.
  • Experience in managing complex workloads and expectations where priorities can often change.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, operations, systems, practices, policies, organization and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
