This role is responsible for the preparation and balancing of U.S. payroll, as well as administration of a wide range of payroll related benefits. You are expected to provide knowledgeable and sound advice to all staff relative to payroll policies and procedures. This position reports to the Senior Payroll Officer.

Your Role

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and process all payroll data for the U.S. This includes salary adjustments, 401k payments, loan payments, benefit premiums, overtime payments, terminations, absences, direct deposits, Short Term Disability, LTD, transfers, Manual Checks, reversals, etc. Maintains the Long Term Assignment employees and makes the necessary adjustments
  • Verify the Bank's US 401k/ESOP program by ensuring all applications/changes are cpautred, transferred to the payroll ADP system and advised to all the administrative parties.
  • Own responsibility for the timely remittances of funds, to both plan administrators, on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Update and maintain the US Payroll manual ensuring all changes - bank, government, system changes and upgrades - are current and available.
  • In the absence of the Senior Payroll Officer:
    • Take responsibility for the remittances of the ACH, Taxes, 401K, ESOP, Cigna Funding, & HSA
    • Oversee and address any payroll related problems and resolve them expeditiously

Skills You'll Need

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional Designation
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles and practices
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing
