Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

 

  • Identify detection scenarios and provide analytics support for developing, tuning, optimizing and modifying rules to improve transaction monitoring and screening systems,
  • Participate in TM Model validation activities including product coverage, data quality validation, model effectiveness, rules logic, false positives analysis, increased identification of suspicious activities, thresholds tuning and other relevant activities for effective risk analytics.
  • Provide requirements, analysis and testing support for Rules development and Tuning analysis for AML and Capital Markets transaction monitoring scenarios.
  • Perform ATL/BTL testing by creating statistical samples in order to make sure the transaction monitoring models and thresholds are effective and functioning as designed.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures for AML transaction monitoring life cycle
  • Assisting with the remediation of AML data issues and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to address and remediate issues in a timely manner based on priority and severity.
  • Establish a periodic review process for Bank’s Transactions that are monitored by TM program.
  • Designing the exception reports to provide intelligence to US AML Risk and work as a Data SME.
  • Knowledge of Trade, Payments and other commercial banking transactions type and its lifecycle.

Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd love to work with you, if you have:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analysis, economics or related field is required.
  • 3+ years experience designing, analyzing, testing and/or validating AML/ATF models, and/or OFAC sanctions screening models.
  • 3+ years of financial services data analytics or statistics experience.
  • Familiarity implementing, testing or evaluating performance of Transaction Monitoring systems (Oracle Mantas preferred)
  • Experience with quantitative testing and statistical analysis techniques as it pertains to AML/ATF models, such as fuzzy name matching etc.
  • Prior experience designing detection scenarios rules, rule tuning and developing configuration methodologies, including excess over threshold, and sampling above/below-the-line (ATL/BTL) testing.
  • Experience programming in statistical languages such as Python/SQL or other
  • Familiarity of current compliance and regulation rules. Familiarity with NY DFS 504 is strongly preferred
  • Strong communications, analytical and organizational skills;
  • ACAMS certified preferred
