Title:  Associate, Fixed Income/Syndicate Middle Office

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • To support the Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and Syndicate desk businesses.
  • Process new issues trades and ensure accurate trade capture, P&L, and timely settlement.
  • Independent P&L verification and reconciliation verse the prospectus and underwriting document 
  • Front to back office position reconciliation. FINRA Trace reconciliation, FINRA security setup, and coordination with all operational and compliance partners for seamless processing.
  • Request cusip setup via DTCC, Euroclear, Cedel, CDS, and prospectus coding.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the underwriting, trading and legal teams.
  • Assist the middle office team with secondary fixed income trade processing, break reconciliation, fail reporting
  • Ensure accurate and detailed recording of all deal transactions, preparation of final settlement letters for underwriters or the trading desk, and collection of deal expenses including the wiring of monies for settlement and fees
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas. while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AMUATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AMUATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

  • Bachelors University Degree
  • Syndicate Trade Processing, deal accounting, and expense tracking
  • Institutional Fixed Income and Equity product knowledge
  • FINRA Regulatory or compliance knowledge
