Purpose:

 

To support the Prime Services business model. (Cash and Synthetic Prime and Stock Borrow Lending businesses)

 

Key Accountability:

 

  • The role requires a working knowledge of global securities operations, prime brokerage financing structures (such as enhanced leverage and arranged financing) and prime brokerage related products and services (such as securities lending and synthetic financing).
  • The candidate must have a good understanding of the securities operations industry. Experience with DTCC, Loanet, Equilend, Pirum a plus
  • Have a working knowledge of regulations associated with the various Prime Services financing platforms, products and services (i.e. exchange; depositories, markets and bank/broker dealer compliance); in multiple geographic locations
  • This role will be responsible for handling the day-to-day trade bookings, recalls and returns as they relate to the stock borrow lending business
  • The candidate will need to have a strong understanding of the operational side of the business and more specifically, the clearance, settlement and margin processes and their nuances.
  • The candidate should have strong analytical, problem solving and metrics management skills demonstrating initiative to drive change, enhance process controls and deliver workable solutions for both the business and clients
  • The incumbent must be able to work effectively in a team setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop collaborative working partnerships with regional business partners and across infrastructure functions to help present and project a single face to the clients in the delivery of operational services
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of  infrastructure, business and external clients stressing the ability to convey complex issues and solutions in simple terms.  MS Access and Excel Macro writing a plus
  • To be a highly motivated change advocate with broad experience working effectively in a consistently evolving environment and strength in developing innovative solutions to new challenges

 

Education & Experience:

 

  • 1-5 years experience in relevant Prime Services, Middle Office, Operations Roles
  • Strong understanding of current US regulations and it’s changing landscape
