        The Regulatory Technology team is fast growing and hands on, currently seeking an Associate, Regulatory Technology who is passionate about learning and collaborating. This role will serve in the Technology Governance Office, supporting response and execution coordination activities for Global Banking and Markets Engineering U.S. related to regulatory, audit and self-identified issues. You will serve as a Technology Partner for the U.S. Operational Risk Group and other U.S. control functions, supporting technology issue management across the U.S. This role can be based out of New York, Austin, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Miami or Tampa. You will also contribute to the overall success of Technology for Global Banking and Markets by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. You will also ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

 

  • Managing GBME U.S. Issue Oversight and Reporting pertaining to regulatory, audit and self-identified issues.
  • Working closely with internal or external auditors on tracking issue execution and reporting.  
  • Review responses and provide oversight, feedback, and guidance to IT colleagues on response approach, language, and potential gaps.
  • Standardize technology documentation, memos and senior business line communications across U.S. Technology workstreams for regulatory, audit and self-identified issues.
  • Ensure governance is in place for oversight of self-identified issues including management of monthly reporting meetings. Escalate risks as necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the Issue Management lifecycle process to track and report on Issues and to evidence resolution.
  • Review action plans for key regulatory risks, audits, and self-identified issues.
  • Partner with Technology groups (e.g., GBME, IT Risk, Cybersecurity, AML, Infrastructure, etc.) to ensure successful delivery of all issue remediation
  • Responsible for internal reporting on status of remediation for all issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, out of which 2-3 years of issue management (execution tracking, risk evaluation, escalation, reporting, etc.) or audit/exam management experience (governance, audit, control functions, compliance, risk management, etc.)
  • Excellent writing, communication skills, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work simultaneously on various projects
  • Project management skills: must be attentive to detail and able to prioritize and manage projects effectively, independently and to completion

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • Significant experience with IT as a Project Manager and Internal Audit response management within a financial institution.
  • Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint presentations
