Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the U.S. IT Asset Management team in the U.S. ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

End-to-end management of all IT Assets for the U.S. Assets include workstations, laptops, mobile devices, servers, etc.

Work with IT Teams to identify, control, maintain and verify assets.

Manage, track, and control the life cycle of all assets from the point of acquisition to disposal

Assist with planning, auditing, validating, status accounting and reporting.

Optimize ITAM policy, procedures, and processes for better and more efficient workflows.

Continuous improvement of the ITAM process for the bank.

Maintain the ServiceNow-based Asset Management tool in a complex, fast paced technology environment.

Manage an effective Legal Hold and Preservation process for IT Assets

Work with IT procurement when necessary

Work with Legal and Preservation for legal hold assets for imaging, data capture, etc.

Manage and track all onboard and offboarding of individuals’ assets are correct assigned and returned.

Image and Maintain machines ensuring we have hardware on the shelf readily for use.

Work with Onboarding team to understand hardware requirements for new hires.

MIS reports and KPI’s to be provided to management on a bi-weekly basis

Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
What You’ll Bring
- 2-4 years of IT Asset Management (ITAM) experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in working with inventory discovery tools and infrastructure management tools used to manage asset inventory data.
- ITAM best practices and process improvement experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience using reporting tools to build complex reports.
- Recent ServiceNow and CMDB experience.
- Must have quality documentation and report writing ability and experience (MS Office Suite skills).
- Passion, commitment and ownership attitude.
- Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communications and relationship management skills.
- Develop best practices and ensure adoption within the team
- Measure success using metrics and KPI’s
- Document processes and daily routines
- Periodically work nights and weekends as needed
