Purpose

 

The Director of Prime Services & CMF Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping, driving, and executing the technology strategy supporting the Financing business. This individual will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced technology solutions to enable trading, risk management, client reporting, and regulatory compliance for prime brokerage, securities lending, and related services. The Director will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure that technology initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

 

 

What You’ll Do 

 

  • Lead the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Prime Services & CMF, ensuring alignment with overall business and IT objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, including trading platforms, risk and margin systems, client portals, and post-trade processing infrastructure.
  • Liaise with senior leaders withing Prime Services and CMF and Global Banking and Markets
  • Partner with business leads to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a diverse team of developers, engineers, business analysts, and project managers.
  • Ensure robust system performance, scalability, security, and compliance with global regulatory standards.
  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, AI, automation) to maintain a competitive edge and reduce technical debt.
  • Establish and maintain effective vendor and third-party relationships, negotiating contracts and managing service delivery as needed.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for technological innovation and process improvement.
  • Develop and manage technology budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments for Prime Services initiatives.

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role supporting Prime Services, Prime Brokerage, Collateral Management & Funding or related capital markets technology.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex, high-availability systems for trading, risk, and client operations.
  • Strong understanding of the Financing business, including securities lending, margin and collateral management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Expertise in modern development practices, system integration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment with evolving priorities and regulatory requirements.
