Purpose:
The Corporate Equity Derivatives team is responsible for originating, pricing, and selling both vanilla and complex equity derivative products for corporate clients of the firm. These products range from vanilla options to more complex exotic payoffs. We are seeking a candidate with strong client relationships who can identify and monetize opportunities to grow the business. The candidate will report directly to the MD & Global Head, Corporate and Institutional Equity Derivatives Sales, and will manage structuring and coverage/distribution of equity derivative products solutions to clients in the United States. The ideal candidate will have experience within corporate equity derivatives sales and origination, demonstrating market knowledge, client relationships, idea generation. This role is crucial in adding value to our corporate clients and contributing to the overall success of the Corporate Equity Derivatives business.
What You’ll Do
- As team lead in the U.S., the candidate will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Corporate Equity Derivatives businesses in the United States; ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Drive a customer focused culture that deepens client relationships and leverages broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge;
- Partner with Equity Capital Markets, Corporate and Investment Banking and Equity Sales to pitch equity derivative solutions to the bank’s clients;
- Effectively communicate with clients to build strong relationships, deepening existing relationships and developing new ones;
- Collaborate with members of the Global Capital Markets team on idea generation and building client relationships;
- Innovate in engaging each client to cater to their specific needs, aiming to provide a consistent positive experience for all clients;
- Handle client on-boarding requirements (KYC, KYD, AML, ISDA negotiating etc.);
- Manage and oversee the development of junior members of team, which includes putting team members in situations where they can present transactions and gain visibility within the organization;
- Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures;
- Partner with the Global Equity Derivatives trading desk to ensure day-to-day business activities are conducted within the bank’s risk appetite and to manage the alignment of the bank’s U.S. strategy, risk appetite and risk culture;

What You’ll Bring
- Extensive knowledge of the U.S. Corporate Derivative market including the ability to pitch all structures and originate new opportunities for the team.
- Proven track record in equity derivatives sales with 10+ years work experience;
- The successful candidate will also be an excellent communicator and relationship builder who:
- Understands how to bring the best out of his / her teams by complementing their existing skills
- Has an expert ability to balance competing or conflicting goals of various departments / countries / stakeholders via adopting a mature, diplomatic approach and using highly developed negotiation and influencing skills;
- Effectively liaises with key internal stakeholders, industry participants, and regulatory bodies.
- Fully FINRA licensed and registered.
- Strong team player, making ongoing risk management decisions within the context of group collaboration.
- Effective communication, business development and relationship management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. A Master's degree, a recognized professional designation in a specialized area of finance or business, or equivalent, is an asset
