TITLE: Associate Director, E-Trading

 

DUTIES: The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Associate Director, E-Trading in New York, NY to build, implement, and oversee e-trading functionality for client Request-For-Quote (RFQ) trading. Conduct Government Bond (US Treasuries) and Corporate Bond price discovery research and client flow analysis. Work alongside sales and trading on risk profiling of US Treasury and Corporate Bond e-trading books for facilitating institutional trading. Build execution strategies for US Treasury positions resulting from RFQ  trading. Research, develop, and oversee hedging strategies and centralization models for US Treasuries. Manage data repository for efficient functioning of Algorithmic Trading systems. Liaise with sales, trading and risk leadership on strategic e-trading initiatives. Develop, implement, manage and present business strategies for optimization and growth of different client segments. Provide post-trade reports for sales and trading teams. Collaborate with trading leadership on pricing strategies for less liquid instruments. Work with external vendors, consultants and platforms on day-to-day management of trading engines, strategic opportunities, and data requirements.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation:  working with mathematical models for electronic trading/market making of financial instruments, including techniques involving Statistics and Probability Theory, Machine Learning techniques and its application to financial markets; working with database query languages, including Q/KDB; utilizing experience with production-level software development in Python; utilizing experience with python statistical packages; and working with productivity tools including Microsoft Excel and its plugins.

 

Offered salary is between $175,000 and $175,000 per year. 40 hours per week.
