Associate - Corporate Banking - Real Estate, Gaming and Leisure 

 

Purpose of the role
The Associate will work closely with the Corporate Banking- Real Estate, Gaming and Leisure team to provide customized financial solutions to clients and manage client relationships across the US. The Associate will be responsible for handling or providing assistance on all credit-related activities including completing credit presentations, reviewing loan documentation, updating systems with key credit details, adhering to internal policies and procedures, and monitoring industry trends. 

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Structure, analyze and perform due diligence to facilitate prompt execution of transactions that vary in complexity; Review loan documentation and update internal systems with pertinent transaction/facility details 
• Analyze, process and execute credit requests; Develop recommendations for the appropriate course of action based on analysis, internal credit policies/procedures, and the Bank’s risk appetite 
• Provide day to day account management support for a number of client relationships 
• Conduct regular monitoring of credits/client relationships via annual and quarterly reviews 
• Ensure credit files, agreements and security documents are complete and up to date 
• Expand sector/industry and Bank product knowledge to identify trends and cross-selling opportunities within real estate, gaming and leisure sectors 
• Research credit and bank product requirements of existing and prospective clients 
• Coordinate with various product groups within GBM including IB, DPG, DCM, ECM and assist with marketing pitches 
• Develop and maintain effective industry relationships with other lenders, legal counsel, clients 
• Lead and facilitate client onboarding for various products 
• Assist with various ad-hoc tasks including conducting industry reviews, validating/providing internal compliance documentation, update internal reports for management

Qualifications and training: 
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent with outstanding academic credentials 
• Master’s degree, MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation/experience is preferred 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Excellent financial modelling skills and accounting knowledge
