Contributes to the overall success of the U.S. International Money Markets and Funding Desk in the U.S. ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


Under the direction of the Director, U.S. IMMF, this position supports the development, management, and execution of the Bank's short-term USD funding activities encompassing the Bank’s USD commercial paper and certificate of deposit program. IMMF North America maintains a presence in the global markets through its co-ordination of the USD funding activity in New York, London, and Singapore.





Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:




  • A generalist role in the which the incumbent will be required to have existing skills and the ability to grow those skills in both trading and sales roles.
  • Maintain, develop, and improve desk reporting and analytics; aptitude for using new technologies to enhance operational workflow, trading systems, and market surveillance capabilities. 
  • Support the sales effort for the distribution of the Bank’s unsecured funding products, including Commercial Paper, Yankee Certificate of Deposit, and Bank Time Deposits. 
  • Assist with the execution of money market funding (e.g. Fed Funds, Eurodollar deposits, etc.) to support the Desk in its liquidity management and adherence to local and all-Bank level regulatory requirement.
  • Identify and recommend actions to senior leaders based on market trends or regulatory developments to ensure the Bank is at the forefront of funding optimization.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/hers respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operations risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the aforementioned Frameworks.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Undergraduate degree or graduate degree in business, finance or economics preferred. Non-business degree combined with CFA would be acceptable.
  • Experience with ability to apply programing skills to enhance and automate existing reporting and desk processes.
  • Strong analytical skills including extensive facility with PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Axiom, SQL, Python and Bloomberg among others.
  • The ability to be precise and there is a strong need to be able to multi-task and be detailed oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills
