In this role as an Associate Exotic Equity Derivatives Junior Trader within Global Equity Derivatives, you will contribute to the overall success of Global Equity Derivatives & Investor Solutions teams by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Executes all activities in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
What You'll Do:
- Understands market trends and pricing models for exotic derivatives
- Provides accurate pricings for all products within area of responsibility as well as backup across the GED trading team as required
- Develops deep understanding of Equity derivatives P&L drivers
- Supports senior traders in managing and hedging all market risk on US books
- Analyzes & summarizes equity vol market activity as requested by Sales & by Senior Management
- Adheres to the Desk’s approved Volcker operating plan
- Liaises with internal support groups on all operational matters related to the GED trading books
- Adheres to day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
- Contributes to a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum 0 years work experience in Options trading, Internship in Derivatives trading desk is a big plus
- Master degree Financial Models, Financial Engineering or Financial Mathematics
- Knowledge of global capital markets and structured financial products
- Knowledge of derivatives models, including black Scholes model, Local volatility model, Stochastic volatility model and monte Carlo simulations
- Ability to thrive in a challenging and collaborative working environment
- Advanced computer skills required, especially in MS Excel, Visual Basic, and Python
- Familiarity with other programming languages strongly encouraged
- Strong team player, excellent communication skills within the context of group collaboration
- Curiosity & tireless work ethic required for rapid personal growth
