Role Overview

The Analyst will support execution across M&A, leveraged finance, and sponsor-backed transactions while contributing to relationship management for private equity clients in the Financial Sponsors Group. The role involves financial modeling, due diligence, pitch material development, and cross‑bank coordination.

 

 

What You'll Do:

 

Support & Execution

  • Support deal execution and approval processes across M&A, LBO, refinancing, and other sponsor-backed transactions.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including LBO and cash flow analyses.
  • Conduct due diligence on target companies, including financial, strategic, market, and competitive assessments.
  • Prepare pitch books, credit materials, and internal approval documents.
  • Track market activity and summarize sponsor-related developments.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with product partners across GBM, including DCM, ECM, Structured Credit, FX/Rates, and CIB coverage teams.
  • Work with global sponsor coverage teams to consolidate exposure, profitability, and client activity data related to financial sponsors.

 

Operational & Relationship Support

  • Maintain internal databases, CRM entries, and logs of client interactions.
  • Support senior bankers in preparing and presenting materials to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.

 

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 1–2 years of investment banking experience, ideally in sponsor coverage, leveraged finance, or M&A.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, credit analysis, and structuring skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, LCD, CreditSights).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required FINRA registrations.
