We also cross-sell the full range of wholesale products and services offered by the Scotiabank Group.
Purpose: Multinational Coverage is a key growth pillar of Scotiabank’s refreshed strategy, which entails the delivery of a differentiated and consistent client experience across our footprint, placing the corporate client at the center of our service model, regardless of where they choose to do business.
In partnership with the Parent Account Managers (PAM) and product partners across the bank, the Analyst will support both the US and Canada Subsidiary Account Managers (SAM) in originating and managing the relationship of local subsidiaries of foreign Multinational Corporate clients (MNC), while supporting the connectivity with the internal stakeholders across the bank’s global footprint.

What You’ll Do
- Work in a collaborative, fast-paced, ever evolving environment with cross-jurisdictional exposure and activities
- Work collaboratively with the US and Canada SAMs, country teams (PAMs), and key internal stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, support business activity and drive performance to deliver the enhanced Multinationals value proposition to Scotiabank’s Multinational corporate clients
- Champion a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Support US and Canada SAMs, and PAMs in developing and managing holistic global account plans and executing on local and global multi-product and service plans to grow the global relationship of our MNCs and to support the MNCs’ financial and strategic needs
- Gain strong knowledge of US and Canadian markets, as well as Scotiabank's local and global platform, product capabilities, operational processes, risk appetite and risk culture
- Complete due diligence of MNC’s public fillings by reviewing earnings reports, and other financial and company information to summarize data, in support of origination efforts alongside the Associates and SAMs
- Assist in portfolio management including: preparing pitchbooks, KYC, deal execution, account maintenance and other ad hoc tasks
- Assist with the framework set up for the client portfolio, create templates for analysis, and streamline operations across MNC accounts
- Maintain reporting profitability metrics and perform analysis on client engagement and share of wallet
- Build strong relationships and partner effectively with key stakeholders across Scotiabank’s various lines of business and around the globe.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and business decisions
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and development planning for the team
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or Technology
- 2+ years of experience in a Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or Global Transaction Banking with knowledge in/interest of non-lending products: Cash Management, Cash Investments, Commercial Cards, Trade Finance, Foreign Exchange, and Debt Capital Markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Strong interest in liaising with colleagues across different jurisdictions and product groups; supporting an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven team-player attitude with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial role, taking initiative with drive and motivation in a matrix/lean environment
- Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
