Roynat Capital is looking for a dynamic self-starter who embraces a team environment and shares our passion for helping mid-market Canadian businesses achieve their goals. For more than 50 years, our team of professionals has committed to delivering advice and creative financing solutions to help mid-sized businesses grow and expand; execute mergers, acquisitions & divestitures; restructure debt and equity capital, and arrange strategic partnerships. For this role, we reward proactive, resourceful, and committed portfolio management of customized financial solutions for clients. You are responsible for the delivery of an exceptional client experience; credit underwriting and compliance; and client activities. You have a passion for understanding clients’ businesses and proactively identify needs through sales activities such as face-to-face calls.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Support the proactive acquisition of new clients by developing a disciplined sales approach, understanding clients’ needs, and supporting Relationship Managers throughout the loan process.
• Deepen client relationships by increasing your understanding of our clients’ businesses and industries in which they operate, leveraging partners building a strong network within and outside of Scotiabank.
• Take the lead in underwriting requirements by following up with clients, assessing financial data, writing investment summaries, and mitigating risk.
• Make it easy for clients to do business with Roynat by bringing a full suite of products and services to the client while providing fast turnaround times.

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

• Good credit judgment and knowledge of financial analysis and financial modeling techniques.
• Aptitude towards business development and client-facing role. 
• Strong desire to work with a variety of different stakeholders within the Roynat team and their client base. 
• Strong commitment to excellent client service and ability to work with clients to resolve issues in an amicable and prompt manner.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize a number of concurrent requests from different Relationship Managers.
• Strong interpersonal skills to obtain agreements within Commercial Banking and partners.
• Strong written and verbal skills with proven ability to engage stakeholders and clients.
• Working knowledge of Financial Statements and credit analysis.
• Working knowledge of credit structures and applicable risk management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• A high degree of flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.
• Strong commitment to accuracy, customer focus, and results focus.
