The Real Estate Banking team provides specialized financial advice and solutions to clients across the real estate sector, including developers, investors, builders, and commercial property owners. We partner closely with clients to understand their business models, project structures, and long-term objectives, delivering tailored financing and banking solutions across the full real estate lifecycle—from land acquisition and construction to stabilized income-producing properties. This role offers exposure to complex real estate transactions, industry-specific credit analysis, and the opportunity to build deep expertise within one of our key industry verticals. 

 

Your Career as an Accelerate Analyst 

The Accelerate program provides new graduates with a robust start, featuring rotational assignments and opportunities for personal and professional growth. In this fast-paced, client-focused environment, you'll work within a designated business line that will challenge you and help you develop into a Commercial Banker. Over 12 months, you’ll have coach-supported experiences to learn, practice, and apply key skills, plus access to workshops and hands-on learning that will quickly advance your development.

The Accelerate program will provide you with a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application through: 

  • Culture: Participants are immersed in our “One Team” culture, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging. From day one, you’ll work with peers across Canada, expanding your network through team projects, individual learning, and engagement activities that enhance cohort discussions. 

  • Mentorship: A cornerstone of our commitment to your success. Alongside the guidance from your Program Manager, you’ll benefit from a support network including a Peer Mentor for firsthand insights, a Peer Coach for specialized advice, and a Business Coach for learning and development. 

  • Credit Training: You’ll receive thorough training in financial and technical analysis, gain in-depth knowledge of our products and services, and become familiar with the latest industry tools and technologies. 

  • Continuous Feedback: Ongoing feedback is key to learning. You’ll receive structured input from your mentorship network and peers, offering diverse perspectives and constructive insights. This approach supports a well-rounded experience, fostering personal growth and professional skill development.

  • Support underwriting activities, credit presentations, and client-facing discussions. 

  • Develop an understanding of risk, financing structures, and portfolio management within a commercial real estate lending environment. 

  • Apply the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decision-making.

Key Requirements: 

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Land Economics, or a related field. 

  • You possess strong financial literacy, including the ability to interpret financial statements and understand credit fundamentals, client needs, and real estate banking solutions.

Mobility Expectations 

The Accelerate program is designed to develop top Commercial Bankers nationwide. While we aim to accommodate post-program placement preferences, all participants must be willing to relocate within their designated region if needed. Upon successful completion, placement will depend on business needs, ensuring participants are ready to contribute wherever required.
