Accountabilities 

•    Direct the ideation, development, execution of large-scale strategic initiatives to support GTB’s strategic plans and objectives by:
o    Supporting the creation of strategic initiatives and conducting analyses required to determine scope, impact and dimension of projects
o    Developing and managing the project plan and clearly communicating expectations and goals to all team members and stakeholders
o    Guarantying the in-time execution of projects and the deliverables of expected results
o    Clearly defining and articulating business concepts, outcomes, and key success metrics for each project/initiative
o    Identifying key underlying assumptions, business and technology risks, prerequisite initiatives and supporting actions, and formulating mitigation plans
o    Determining the organizational and financial feasibility of the project
o    Evaluating post implementation impact of projects
o    Redirecting projects efforts due to regulatory or technological constrains
o    Leading the development and ongoing tracking/reporting of project metrics (project dashboards)
o    Ensuring ongoing communication of project status, completing monthly status reports and escalating issues, as required, to the Director
o    Keeping projects moving with a sense of urgency by actively participating in the project team, sprint reviews, and driving milestones
o    Strategic engagement and influencing of stakeholders to manage prioritization and change delivery

•    Drive change management efforts within GTB by:
o    Prioritizing new potential projects to be develop in IB territories
o    Ensuring cross-departmental socialization on program status, as well as highlighting key risks and major constraints
o    Preparing workflows/procedures to ensure new functions/processes are integrated into the operational environment
o    Ensuring proper determination of workflow effort differences between existing and recommended processes
o    Identifying areas for improvement and assessing cost efficiency and risk

•    Serve as a facilitator and relationship-builder among key stakeholders with sometimes competing priorities by overseeing/coordinating partner socialization around major themes of change and proposed initiatives  

•    Lead the team into a high performance environment to maximize impact in day-to-day work

•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

•    Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

•    Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Experience 
•    3+ years experience managing complex business and technology projects
•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    Fluent in English and Spanish
•    Location: Mexico City or Toronto
