Scotiabank is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Director to join our Investment Banking Energy team in London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a franchise at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in shaping its future. Working alongside senior leaders across our global platform, you will help expand our Energy Investment Banking business, deepen relationships with leading Oil & Gas companies, and drive high-profile transactions across EMEA and APAC.

What you'll be doing

• Originate and execute complex Oil & Gas M&A and strategic transactions
• Develop trusted relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across the Energy sector
• Drive new business opportunities and help expand Scotiabank's Energy franchise globally
• Partner closely with the Global Energy teams, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets and coverage teams to deliver integrated client solutions
• Lead transaction execution from origination through completion
• Increase the visibility and market presence of the Energy platform across EMEA and APAC
• Mentor and develop junior talent, helping build the next generation of investment bankers
• Play an active role in the continued growth and evolution of the franchise

What we're looking for

• Significant Investment Banking experience with a focus on Energy, ideally gained within Oil & Gas M&A, Energy Advisory or Investment Banking teams
• Strong track record of Oil & Gas M&A origination and execution
• Strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling capabilities, with experience supporting and executing complex Energy transactions
• Existing networks and relationships across the Energy sector in EMEA and APAC would be advantageous
• Commercially minded with proven business development capabilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help grow a market-leading franchise
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
