Title: Director, EGB/SSA/Covered Cash Trader, London
Position & Team Overview/Highlights:
Contributes to the overall success of the London cash hub trading EGB’s (Germany and France specific) and EUR SSA/Covered ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
This role falls into scope under the PRA/FCA Certification Regime and requires the individual to be internally ‘Certified’ as a significant harm function
What You’ll Do:
- Promote the London cash hub secondary trading franchise by offering a competitive market making and information service for the banks’ global client base across time zones. Primary focus, EGB bonds (Germany and France specific), EU SSA and EU covereds.
- Help to drive new initiatives across products and currencies in line with local and global strategy, to organically broaden the reach of the franchise in terms of both clients and issuers, and grow the revenue base
- Be comfortable and confident using the appropriate cash and derivative instruments to maintain and risk manage the market making books, ensuring the desk and the bank remains within set limits at all times.
What You’ll Bring:
- Undergraduate Degree in Economics
- FCA Registered
- EGB and EUR SSA market making experience
- Financials/covered bond market making experience
- Existing client relationships
- Systems knowledge including:
Bloomberg, Market Axess, Tradeweb, Candeal, Brokertec etc
- This role requires successful completion of the National Futures Association’s Swaps Proficiency Requirement (SPR), prior to engaging in in-scope activity
