Our Europe operations are located in London and Dublin and are part of our Global Banking & Markets (GBM) business. GBM provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients.

Programme Overview:
Scotiabank offers an exciting opportunity to join the Trading Technology team in Europe commencing in June 2026.
This 10-week programme is designed for students in their first year of study (or second year of a four year degree) who are eager to learn and have a passion for Technology.
This internship will focus on supporting the Trading Technology team in its efforts to enhance configuration transparency and dependency mapping across the trading stack. The focus will be on developing a Configuration Interrogation Tool that identifies dependencies of any given configuration and provides insights into how configurations are consumed by trading technology components.
What You Can Expect:
During the programme, you will:
- Assist in the design and development of a tool that interrogates configuration data to:
- Identify dependencies between configurations
- Map how configurations are utilized within the trading stack
- Collaborate with both local and global technology teams to ensure the tool integrates seamlessly with existing systems
- Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency by reducing manual dependency checks
- Participate in testing and validation of the tool to ensure accuracy and reliability in production environments
- Complete an intern project assignment and present it to the wider team

- A weekly speaker series with leaders from across the Bank
- Peer to peer intern presentations
- Social and networking events
- A CSR project that supports one of our charity partners
Who We're Looking For:
- You are a first-year undergraduate student (or second-year on a four-year degree)
- You are available for a 10-week internship between mid-June to end of August 2026
- You have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the financial markets
- You have basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, SQL)
- You have an analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- You are able to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
- You are eligible to work in the United Kingdom
