The Graduate Analyst will contribute to the overall success of the Metals & Mining M&A team as well as broader Global Banking and Markets in Europe ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Participate in origination efforts, including marketing materials and presentations / generally supports client pitch and deal execution efforts
- Participate in drafting prospectuses, documentation and marketing presentations for transactions
- Contribute to and prepare financial and written analysis of companies and industries, including the development of operating, financial and valuation models, pro-forma financial statements, comparable company and precedent transactions analyses
- Evaluate and analyse the financial needs of corporate clients under various operating scenarios and analyses the impacts of different capital structures and potential M&A transactions
- Apply product and capital markets knowledge to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
- Participate in all stages of transaction execution, from the pitch phase through to closing
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Code of Conduct.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Recent university graduate (2025/2026) with a clearly defined interest in Finance and passion for Investment Banking/M&A.
- We welcome applications from any degree discipline.
- Relevant previous Metals & Mining experience considered an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work.
- The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines and quickly adapt to new situations.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- A strong sense of personal integrity.
- A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts.
