Scotiabank is offering a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience within our London Investment Banking division covering the Energy and Metals & Mining sectors commencing in June 2025.
This 10-week internship is aimed at students in their penultimate year of study who are keen to learn and have a passion for M&A. This role provides exposure to a stimulating and dynamic environment which offers practical, hands-on experience working with top professionals and senior leaders of the Bank.
What can you expect from the Summer Internship?

Research various companies, assets and transactions using public and private information sources to prepare meaningful analyses

Support with drafting prospectuses, documentation and marketing presentations for transactions

Participate in strategic discussions concerning new and existing business opportunities for clients and effectively translate these ideas into client pitches and presentations

Maintain and update company and transaction databases

Where appropriate, work closely with and assist deal teams on live transactions, helping them to provide timely client support

Assist in building detailed financial models

Provide assistance to the Investment Banking team in the execution of their daily tasks

Interns will also be expected to deliver a final presentation to leaders within Investment Banking
Our Summer Internship is designed to give you an insight into what life at Scotiabank is really like so, in addition to the above, all interns will take part in a centralised programme of activity including a weekly speaker series with senior leaders from across the Bank, peer to peer intern presentations, as well as regular networking and social events. Interns will also take part in a CSR project alongside one of our chosen charities.

You are a penultimate year undergraduate student graduating in 2026

A clearly defined interest in Investment Banking and M&A

Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work

Strong attention to detail and quick to adapt to new situations
