Senior Manager, Deposits Products
-Business Line: Retail Banking
-Unit: Business: Depositos, Payroll y FX
Misión:
Provides leadership and oversight for the Deposits Products (Day to Day, Savings and Term Deposits) for the country.
Executes and oversees the implementation of the Deposits Product (day to day, savings, term deposits, etc.) strategies for Retail in country. Works closely with Regional Product owners, local segments, analytics/BI, local Retail Product teams, sales, technology and operations to ensure successful execution of initiatives that drive sustainable and profitable growth. Ensures that deposits products meet customer needs while complying with local regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Provides insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to enhance product performance and drive business results. Covers retail and small business
¿Qué esperamos de ti?
•Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred in Business/Finance/Economics.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial sector
•Proven knowledge on transactional banking (deposits, payroll, liquidity management, cash management, treasury) and local regulatory environment
•Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate, garner buy-in and execute on opportunities.
•Demonstrated strategic influencing ability, and a high degree of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
•Strong commercial discipline, desired record of making commercially viable business decisions
•Strong financial and business acumen with a result-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•Experience in applying agile principles and practices.
•Exceptional business planning, product strategy development, and project execution skills.

¿A qué retos te enfrentarás?
•Customer-Focused Culture: Drives a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
•P&L Management: manages the Profit & Loss of Deposits Products for Retail at the country level. Ensures financial targets (NII, NIR, and NIAT) are met by continuously monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions in coordination with Finance and Business team.
•Business Growth: Develops and supports local plans to grow the Deposits Products results in partnership with regional and country teams. Leverage a deep understanding of local market trends, evolving client needs and competitive / regulatory landscape to provide insights to our International Retail Baking strategy. Identifies local opportunities for product innovation and product expansion.
•Product Management: Oversees the execution of deposits product strategies, ensuring their successful implementation in the local market. Works closely with regional and local teams to ensure alignment with market needs and customer insights.
•Product Design & Development Excecution: Ensures the effective rollout of new products and enhancements to existing offerings, tailoring them to local market needs and competitive dynamics. Collaborates with internal teams to support the implementation of the value propositions for key customer segments and drive product innovation, ii) document and address product risk, iii) enhance client experience, iv) ensure product adoption and expansion.
•Performance Monitoring: oversees the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of local execution of strategies within the retail & small business deposits products. Provides insights and recommendations to optimize commercial effectiveness and portfolio profitability. Delivers performance improvement strategies to optimize returns aligned with franchise needs, customer needs and market conditions.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Maintains strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including sales, segments, analytics/BI, marketing, digital, technology, operations, and risk. Ensures effective communication and alignment to drive product success at the local level.
•Operational Efficiency: Aligns retail deposits products model to a regional scale by overseeing the implementation of a new operating model for the retail deposit products for all segments. Embrace an end-to-end focus on controls as a part of established business strategy execution.
•Risk Management: Ensures deposits products comply with local regulatory requirements and internal policies. Works with Risk and Compliance teams to mitigate potential risks and uphold governance standards.
•Operational Compliance: Ensures effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles. Ensures the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operacional, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
•Team Leadership: Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors. Communicates vision/values/business strategy and manages succession and development planning for the team.
