Purpose
Responsible for leading and overseeing the local market performance for Peru ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Oversee and optimize the performance of the bank’s portfolio by analyzing key metrics, identifying trends, and implementing key initiatives. Ensures that portfolio performance aligns with bank’s objectives, supports decision-making through comprehensive reporting, and drives continuous improvement to enhance financial outcomes and operational efficiency.
Accountabilities:
•Act as the main data steward of business KPIs, ensuring monitoring and awareness across the local teams
•Align to dynamic performance measurement frameworks and tools to track execution of strategy at a local level by segment, product and channel
•Monitor and oversee quality of Client Dynamics data used in the organization
•Monitor performance of strategic initiatives at a local level in alignment with performance measurement frameworks and tools
•Promote a culture of data-driven decision making and coach stakeholders in the proper use of analytical frameworks, methods, and tools
•Support development, socialization and monitoring of performance scorecards (KPIs, targets, update and reporting process) in alignment with regional direction
•Coordinate changes to KPIs in alignment with Change Control Procedures
•Support audits, internal controls, and regulatory initiatives (e.g. SOX, account balance certifications, etc.)
•Monitor and report business impact of local campaigns
•Create an environment for the team to pursue effective and efficient operations, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk
•Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Banks risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Banks risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
•Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, and managing succession and development planning for the team
•Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred in Analytics/Business/Finance/Economics.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial sector.
•Demonstrated strategic influencing ability, and a high degree of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
•Strong financial and business acumen with a result-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•Experience in performance management, financial planning and forecasting is an asset.
•Experience in applying agile principles and practices.
