Title:  Assistant Manager - FXO Operations

Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Confirmations – OTC Confirmations team globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures
.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Ensures timely confirmation of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across the unit & proactively analyzing/addressing root causes.
  • Provides insight and support to management during planning, organizing and successful implementation of projects affecting the unit’s operations.
  • Pro-actively supports management efforts to monitor group activity so as to ensure internal control procedures remain effective, are understood and adhered to.
  • Supports management efforts to motivate staff, increase individual performances, execute a robust training schedule and assign workstation responsibilities fairly.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Partner with the Agile Coach and other agile teams to share best practices and mature organizational agility.

 

What You'll Bring:

 

 

  • Thorough grasp of all operating systems and applications used by the unit.
  • In-depth knowledge of all Bank policies, regulatory requirements, limits and controls which may affect or restrict all aspects of the day-to-day responsibilities for the unit.
  • Including OTC Derivatives: Equities; Credit; Rates; Commodities; FX Options
  • Main-frame systems supported: K2/PEAK; S1; Murex, SCOTS
  • Other software applications used Markitwire; DTCC; Xceptor; Confirmation Hub
  • Experience with FX Options confirmations, including drafting, validation, and lifecycle management across complex trade structures, considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with cash reconciliations (investigation, break resolution, control oversight) considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex initiatives, build alignment with senior stakeholders, and prioritize work based on business value, customer impact, and economic rationale.
  • Collaborative, high‑EQ leader who influences through reasoning rather than authority, thrives in cross‑functional and cross‑cultural teams, and remains adaptable in fast‑changing or ambiguous environments.
  • Exceptional communicator skilled at navigating diverse regions and time zones, and building productive relationships across multiple organizational groups.
  • Detail‑oriented, resilient under pressure, and committed to continuous improvement, consistently advocating for customer‑centric outcomes and creative problem‑solving.
