Purpose
The Cybersecurity and Technology Quality Assurance team is mandated to support the review and validate the adequacy of the Bank’s remediation of open issues and gaps. The position will be directly responsible for performing, and leading reviews to evaluate the appropriateness and adequacy of remediation efforts and to support the Bank in identifying areas of improvement and to advise on industry leading practices, as appropriate. A collaborative and team player, this position requires strong communication and project management skills.
What You’ll Do
- Work both independently and in a team environment with specified duties which relate to reviewing and analyzing deliverables to ensure remediation efforts and action plans are effectively implemented.
- Identify gaps and make recommendations on how to improve processes, standards and/or documentation.
- Work closely with the Director, GBM Internal Control; and interacts closely with the Bank’s Cybersecurity and Technology teams.
- Conduct reviews using current industry frameworks such as COSO and COBIT and in adherence with the IIA Professional Standards, as required
- Responsible for conducting reviews in highly technical areas of current/emerging technologies. including cybersecurity, Internet, Intranet, ecommerce, distributed/cloud computing, social media, firewalls, Windows, UNIX and mainframe operation system
- Use judgment in managing highly sensitive information and/or situations.
- Must be highly organized and be able to keep track of a number of competing priorities and activities.
- Must be comfortable engaging and providing feedback across the Bank, including senior leadership and able to build strong relationships across the Bank – viewed as a trusted advisor
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

What You’ll Bring
- Undergraduate degree in information systems or computer science. Post-secondary education in accounting/finance or suitable combination of education and experience would also be considered an asset
- Minimum of 7+ years of technology audit and business experience
- Working knowledge of audit methodologies and frameworks, is preferred
- CISA designated and/or certification in at least one additional area (CISM, CISSP, GSNA) is desirable
- Experience in an audit/controls department required
