Purpose
Join Scotia Securities Inc. and contribute to our success by executing sales strategies within an assigned territory. Your goal will be to support mutual fund representatives in delivering client-focused, long-term investment advice, drive Assets Under Management (AUM) growth through retail branches, and promote adherence to Global Sales Principles.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute a regional business plan to:
- Increase assets under administration
- Drive market share growth
- Enhance knowledge among Mutual Fund Representatives (MFRs) of ScotiaFund Solutions and related tools
- Act as the primary field resource for registered representatives, boosting confidence in mutual fund positioning and sales strategies.
- Analyze data to implement territory segmentation strategies, identify business opportunities, and resolve barriers to growth.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to implement strategies that drive mutual fund sales within their branches
- Motivate and coach sales staff through presentations, workshops, and one-on-one consulting.
- Provide expert, timely assistance to sales officers via seminars and individual meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while managing operational, compliance, and conduct risk.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field
- 5+ years of financial services experience, preferably in mutual funds
- Strong knowledge of mutual fund sales and marketing
- Proven ability to coach and influence MFRs and leadership teams
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with minimal supervision
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC), PFP, CFP or equivalent (asset)
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work model: 20% remote, 80% branch locations
- Extensive domestic travel
- Non-standard hours may occur
