As a Senior Manager & Group Lead, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team that averages in size from 6-10 employees, and includes Client Relationship Managers (Growth Segment & Non Segmented) as well as Client Solutions Analysts,
  • Develop and lead the implementation of tactical plans to support the overall strategy for the commercial area and the achievement of the business objectives.
  • Ensure the customer portfolio assigned to the Team receives ongoing attention to maintain, improve, and retain relationships Deepen client relationships by providing proactive advice and solutions, being a client champion, leveraging partners and promoting cross sell.
  • Oversee the overall quality of the commercial banking portfolio and client base, and deal directly with any exceptional items within the established parameters for underwriting
  • Maintain a high market profile within the assigned market area with both internal and external contacts

 

Performance objectives for this role reward leading the profitable growth of the Commercial Banking portfolio for the assigned market area. You are responsible for the Growth segment within the Mid-Market, and overseeing  the delivery of exceptional customer experience, cross sell, new client acquisition, credit underwriting and compliance, revenue growth and referral activities. You have a passion for leading sales teams, understanding clients’ businesses and proactively coaching team members to identify needs through sales activities such as face-to-face calls.  Business development activities within the market area target clients with credit authorizations up to $3MM and/or client annual sales up to $15MM.

 

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Strong knowledge of people, sales management and coaching techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of the standard Commercial Banking products and services, including systems, routines and operating procedures
  • Intermediate credit skills and working knowledge of financial analysis, risk analysis techniques, credit adjudication and the Bank’s lending policies and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of products and services provided by the Bank’s specialized sales forces and other delivery channels such as Global Transaction Banking, Global Banking & Markets, Global Wealth Management, Retail & Small Business Banking, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of interviewing, solicitation and business development techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of competitor offerings and alternative sources of financing
  • 4-5 years of commercial banking experience
  • Undergraduate degree in business or economics or equivalent work experience
  • You speak French and English and are comfortable communicating with customers in both languages
